The Lion King (2019) is a visually groundbreaking, photorealistic reimagining of Disney’s beloved animated classic. The story follows Simba (voiced by Donald Glover), a young lion prince who flees his home after the tragic death of his father, King Mufasa (voiced by James Earl Jones). 
Raised in exile by the carefree duo Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen), Simba learns to embrace a “hakuna matata” lifestyle. However, as he matures, Simba must confront his past and return to reclaim his place as king, challenging his uncle Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who has taken over Pride Rock in his absence.
