The Santa Clause (1994) is a Christmas comedy about Scott Calvin, a divorced father who accidentally causes Santa Claus to fall from his roof on Christmas Eve.
When Scott tries on Santa’s red suit, he unknowingly triggers a magical contract – or “Santa Clause” – that binds him to take over as the new Santa Claus. Though initially skeptical, Scott begins transforming into Santa, gaining weight, growing a white beard, and developing a fondness for milk and cookies.
As Scott embraces his new role, he and his young son, Charlie, embark on a holiday adventure to deliver presents and spread Christmas cheer.
However, Scott faces challenges as his ex-wife and others around him doubt his new identity, thinking he might be delusional.
Over time, Scott realizes the true meaning of Christmas, building a stronger bond with Charlie and embracing the joy of his Santa Claus duties. The film is a heartwarming story of family, belief, and the magic of Christmas.
