๐ฏ Movie Review: Sniper: Ultimate Kill (2017)
Sniper: Ultimate Kill takes the long-running action-thriller franchise to Colombian soil, delivering a high-stakes, bullet-slicing entry that leans heavily into cartel warfare, precision assassinations, and tactical mind games. This time, legendary sniper Brandon Beckett (played by Chad Michael Collins) is tasked with eliminating โEl Diablo,โ a ruthless assassin hired by a powerful Colombian drug lord to protect his empire.
Joining forces with elite DEA agent Kate Estrada (Danay Garcia), Beckett must navigate political tension, betrayals, and a rising body count to complete a mission where one missed shot could mean global consequences. Billy Zane returns as Richard Miller, offering mentorship and wisdom with a hint of nostalgia for long-time fans of the franchise.
The film is packed with expertly choreographed sniper sequences, featuring long-range kills that will satisfy any action enthusiast. What sets Ultimate Kill apart, though, is its gritty tone and the tension between characters, particularly between Beckett and Estrada, whose dynamic adds emotional depth to the narrative.
Though it follows a familiar formula, the film delivers precisely what its audience expects: suspense, slick gunplay, and a showcase of sniper strategy at its finest. With lush Colombian backdrops and a fast-paced narrative, Sniper: Ultimate Kill remains a solid entry in the series โ not revolutionary, but definitely explosive.
