The Strain (2014–2017) is an American horror television series that blends elements of traditional vampire mythology with a fresh, terrifying take on the genre.
Created by renowned filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and author Chuck Hogan, and based on their novel trilogy of the same name, the show aired on FX from July 13, 2014, to September 17, 2017.
